POLICIES

After reviewing our policies, please click on "Check Availability" or "Reservations" to book your stay at Hidden Lake B&B! Your hosts, Mary Jo & John, are looking forward to exceeding your expectations!

Credit Cards Accepted
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express

Deposit Required
A credit card will hold your reservation in lieu of a deposit leaving you free to pay with cash, check or charge when you arrive. No credit card? You may also send a check for the required deposit, 50% of your stay, to hold your reservation.

Notice of Cancellation
10 days notice is required for a full refund of your deposit (50% of your stay), 20 days notice if you have reserved 3 or more rooms. Cancellations with less than 36 hours notice incur a cancellation fee of 100% of your stay.

Check-In/Check-Out
Check-In: You are welcome as early as 3 p.m. and as late as 9 p.m. If you find yourself in the area before 3 pm, give a call. If your suite is ready, you are more than welcome to check-in anytime after 1 pm. Please let us know when to expect you.

When you do arrive, please check-in at the Main House up the drive just beyond the large Hidden Lake Bed & Breakfast sign. You will see guest parking at the end of the drive.

Check-out: 11 a.m.

An arrival earlier or later than that stated or a later check-out may be reserved upon request for an additional charge ($25).

Minimum Reservation Requirement
There is no minimum reservation requirement during the relaxing season ... December 1st through April 1st. A two-night minimum stay is required otherwise for advanced reservations on the weekend only, with one night reservations welcome Sunday through Thursday. We do offer discounts for longer term stays... 1/2 off the 4th night; 6th night free and 1/2 price Tuesday to name a few. Please see our Special Packages page.

If its April through November and you only have time for one night and you need a weekend? Give us a call (618-833-5252). If we have the availability, you are more than welcome.

Smoking Policy
Hidden Lake provides a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the 12 acres, inside or out. Thank you for respecting our non-smoking policy.

Children
Our home best accommodates children 14 and older ... although infants and little ones, until they start walking, are welcome in the Mission Jacuzzi Suite.

Pets
Although we are pet lovers ourselves, we unfortunately are unable to accept pets due to having one of our own on site.

Green Policy

By popular request, we have added a Green Policy that simply states "We Will if You Will". Since everyone is different in this regard, especially when on vacation and wanting to forget about daily life for a few minutes, you can communicate your preferences to us by hanging up your towels if you would like to reuse them or leaving them on the floor in bathroom if you would like new ones. Similarly, if you would like your plastics, aluminum and glass recycled, please rinse and leave near the coffee service in your suite.

On our side, we are working to become "chemical free" on all of our cleaning agents. To this end, we make our own laundry soap and softner and we use more natural cleaners such as lemon and white vinegar for most of our cleaning.

Additional Persons
The Loft Suite sleeps one additional person. A $25 per day charge is applicable.

Breakfast Guests
Visiting family and friends? Feel free to invite them for breakfast at Hidden Lake! Breakfast guests are welcome with an additional charge of $11.00/person. Please make advance reservations for additional breakfast guests.

Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are available for $100, $150, $200 and more. You may request a specific room or just a dollar amount. A night or two in one of our jacuzzi suites is our most popular gift certificate.

Taxes and Rate Changes
State and local taxes are not included in our rates. Rates are subject to change without notice and are based on double occupancy.
